Herders Attack Family of Three in Abia State

A family of three has been rescued from suspected Fulani herdsmen on a farm in the Avodim community, Ubakala, Umuahia, Abia State, by the swift response of the Vigilante Service.
Speaking to security operatives, Adaobi Ibegbu revealed that upon opening the gate to the entrance of their farm, they heard noise behind them, only to see the herdsmen with guns and cutlasses.
The family made their way through the gate and forcefully locked it, but one of the armed men jumped through the fence in pursuit of her husband, who had gone to seek help.
The victim revealed that she was forced to open the gate while the bandits have jumped in and attempted to take her son through the fence, but she pushed them back. Upon realizing that her husband had gone for help, they jumped through the fence and left.
Corroborating what the wife said, Mr. Ibegbu revealed that he escaped through the back fence to get help and was able to contact the Vigilante Service, who responded immediately to rescue the family.
