The Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has called for more transparent and inclusive recruitment into the federal civil service and ensuring equity and fairness in the distribution of social amenities across the country.

Dr. Okowa made the call on Wednesday when he received the Executive Chairman, Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, and the Commissioners of Federal Character Commission, at the government house, Asaba to discuss some of the present day realities in Delta State that need to be addressed by the FCC.

“It is my hope that with the new leadership of the FCC in place, working to address the critical underlying issues that exist, will help to promote more patriotism and reduce agitations in certain parts of the nation.

“If we can ensure equity and fairness in political appointments, civil service, social amenities and the development of our nation and distortion in the process it will cause Nigerians to show loyalty to our nation”, the governor said.
