Governor Alia Appoints 2Face Technical Adviser in Benue

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has appointed music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, as the Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach in the state.

The appointment of 2Baba comes with mixed reactions following a video shared on Wednesday, in which members of the governor’s cabinet applaud and cheer the news.

Governor Alia was seen in the video praising 2Baba for his immense contributions to entertainment and humanity, both in the state and beyond.

He also acknowledged 2Baba’s support for his administration and the positive roles he has played that will help his administration in the 2027 elections.

The appointment did not sit well with many, who condemned such a decision in light of the attacks being launched by Fulani herdsmen in Benue.
