Ghana Protest Power Outage In Accra

Ghanaians took their anger to the streets of Accra the nation’s capital to demand lasting solutions to the epileptic power supplies being experienced in the country.

Civil society groups led by actress Yvonne Nelson on Saturday were protesting an end to the chronic power shortages in the country which caused traffic at the busy Madina Road.

Neighbourhoods for several weeks have been plunged into darkness due to electricity cuts, making celebrities, coalition of civil society groups, business owners and others rally for a lasting solution calling on the government.
