FUDMA VC Alleges Staff Members Informants To Bandit

In recent times students and staff members of Federal University Dutsinma, FUDMA in Katsina State, have been repeatedly kidnapped by bandits operating in the area.

This led to a peaceful protest by staff demanding and calling for tight security especially the recent attack launched by bandits which led to the death of a colleague.

Speaking with newsmen on Tuesday at the institution Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Armaya’u Bichi, said some of the staff in the institution are working as informants to bandits.

The VC also said the phone numbers of these suspected staff giving information to bandits have been sent to security agencies for further investigation.

Bichi revealed that they are trying their best to see an end to the issues but it is getting worse. However, the State Command spokesperson, ASP Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu, called on the public to always assist with information that would help end the security challenges.
