Fire at Maryland, Lagos State

There was chaos in Maryland in Lagos State after an electric pole close to the independence bridge went up in flames on Tuesday evening.

It was learned that the incident caused gridlock in the area as passengers, residents, and passers-by scampered for safety.

The incident occurred yesterday but started trending today Wednesday.

The Lagos Fire and Rescue Service Director, Mrs. Margaret Adeseye confirmed the incident.

“The disco has disconnected the power supply to the powerline. No casualty and no injury.

“The public is hereby assured that the viral video going around this morning occurred yesterday night and was handled immediately.

“The traffic flow was clear and going on smoothly since yesterday. It is surprising to see distress alert on the same issue.
