FG Suspend Levies On Okada, Trucks, Shops Others

Taxation and levies of small businesses such as Okada riders, transporters of goods, fuel transporters, wheelbarrow and cart pushers, shop owners, and market traders, amongst others have been lifted by the federal government for six months.
The suspension dated May 1, was contained in a draft executive order titled, “Inflation reduction and price stability (fiscal policy measures, etc.) order 2024.
President Tinubu said the reason for the executive draft is to help reduce the prices of food items across the country to bring down inflation.
According to the order given by the president in alliance with the provisions of the law, States and Local Governments should take the right steps in ensuring full implementation of the tax and levy suspension.
