FG Increases Passport Fees For Nigeria

The cost price of obtaining a Nigerian passport has just been reviewed by the Federal Government for citizens seeking one.

This announcement was made by the spokesperson of the Nigeria Immigration Service, KT Udo, on Wednesday but the changes will not apply to citizens on Diaspora.

According to the statement, the increment is to help the federal government maintain the integrity and standard of Nigerian passports.

The effect of the increment takes place from September 1, 2024 with 32 pages of passport booklet with 5 years validation from 35,000 to 50,000 naira, while a 10 year validity of 64 pages booklet was reviewed from 70,000 to 100,000 naira.
