FCT Police Deny Attacking October 1 Protesters

The general public has been urged by the FCT Police command to disregard the October 1 trending video where police officers threw teargas at peaceful protesters in Abuja.

The supposed video showed how about 50 protesters close to Utako market were dispersed with canisters by police operatives.

Debunking the claims, the PPRO of FCT command, Josephine Adeh, said the force acted on intelligence reports to avoid looting of shops and destruction of properties. Therefore the public should disregard any misleading information about the scenario.
