Faulty Electrical installations major cause of fire in Nigeria – FPAN

Faulty electrical installations have been identified as the major cause of fire incidents across Nigeria.

The Fire protection Association of Nigeria, FPAN, disclosed this during a press briefing in warri.

Speaking during the media engagement, Delta state chairman of FPAN, Friday Chidubem who represented the national president, Shehu Dambata, said rising cases of fire in the country was a major concern. He meanwhile commiserated with traders at the Warri main market over recent fire incidents.

At market places he said findings showed poor housekeeping also contributes to fire outbreaks.He therefore called on Deltans, traders and Nigerians at large to embrace preventive measures.
