El-Rufai Arrives at Court Over Fraud Charges

The former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, arrived at the Federal High Court in Kaduna in continuation of his trial for allegedly tapping the National Security Adviser’s phone line and financial misconduct.

The allegations were leveled by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, which stated that El-Rufai abused his office as the governor of Kaduna State, engaging in financial abuse and fraud.

The former governor was escorted into the court by heavily armed men; however, he has denied all allegations laid against him, despite the ICPC’s assertion that there is evidence supporting the charges.
