EFCC To Arraign Former Aviation Minister Bordering N8bn Nigeria Airway

The former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for questioning over the unrealistic Nigerian Airline project.

Sirika was brought into the EFCC facility in Abuja on Tuesday and immediately went in for interrogations.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity since they have not been authorized to give information on the development, a source confirmed that the probing was in connection to the Nigeria Air project that was launched but never saw the light of the day.

The source said, the agency is yet to uncover the total amount of the project but Sirika would be charged arraigned in court next week.

The ex-minister is being charged with N8,069,176,864.00 billion which he awarded to his younger brother, Abubakar Sirika a level 16 Deputy Director working under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources to execute the project.

The former Aviation Minister in an interview on Arise TV had claimed that the total money allocated for the Nigeria Airways project was N3 billion and not the alleged 8 billion naira.
