ECWA Pastor Killed Over Witchcraft Accusations in Kaduna

Pastor Dio Idon of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) of Ungwa Shaawa LC, Kasuwan Magani DCC, Kaduna, was brutally killed by a mob in the state following an accusation of witchcraft practice.

According to a statement by the Theological Seminary, Kagoro, it was revealed that Idon was attacked and killed on Sunday, January 4th, after the death of his brother, who died after a period of illness.

The irate youths in the community accused Pastor Idon of being the wizard that killed his brother; therefore, they attacked and killed him and set his body on fire.

The seminary said the killing of the late Pastor Idon, who was once a student at the institution, is tragic and barbaric, as prayers were extended to the family and transformation for the perpetrators.
