Ebonyi State University Ban Final Year Examination Celebration

Post created on 3:29 pm

With a wide range of celebrations carried out by final year students during signing off from higher institutions, the management of the Ebonyi State University (EBSU) has looked for a way to curtail the habit by banning post-examination celebrations in and around the university’s campuses.

The announcement of the ban, especially for final-year students of the institution, was contained in a statement signed by the institution’s Registrar, Jeremiah Nwamgbo, in Abakaliki.

It states that the celebrations have caused security threats and disrupted academic activities in the school, thus it became imperative for the decision.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university urged the President of the Students Union Government to carry out adequate sensitization about the total ban of all forms of post-examination celebration within and around the university premises to avoid being sanctioned.
