Domestic Violence: Man beats wife to death in Delta State

The police in Orerokpe, Okpe LGA in Delta State has arrested one Efe Erinoja, a 42-year-old man for allegedly beating his wife to death on Wednesday after a misunderstanding.

According to reports the cause of the disagreement could not be ascertained, as community sources hinted that the cry of the 36-year-old woman, identified as Faith Ekpe, attracted neighbors to their house around 6:30am on Wednesday.

However, by the time residents arrived at the scene, Faith was dead, and realizing the crime, the husband fled the community.

Monday Ekpe brother to the deceased reported the case at Orerokpe Police Station. When police operatives arrived at the scene, they found Faith’s corpse on the ground with marks of violence on her body.

The police then removed the body and deposited it at the Ariemughere mortuary, Orerokpe, pending an autopsy.

A security source said the suspect was later tracked and arrested while investigation is ongoing.
