The Delta State government on Tuesday handed starter packs to four hundred and sixty women from the 25 local government areas of Delta State who completed their training under the Women Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Programme (WESAP)  in Asaba.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa speaking at the event congratulated the beneficiaries of the programme and urged them to leverage on the opportunity provided for them by the state government to improve their socio-economic lives.

“This administration believes in the empowerment of women because we know once a woman is empowered, the family is empowered. I urge you to use your knowledge and skills acquired during your training to positively impact on the lives of other Deltans,” Governor Okowa said.
