Delta, Other States to Experience Flood

With the coming rainy season, Nigerians have been warned to be alert, especially in states like Delta, Lagos, Bayelsa, Kebbi, Adamawa, and 28 other states that will be the most affected.

The alert was released on Wednesday by the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Joseph Utsev, at the Annual Flood Outlook (AFO) public presentation at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Abuja.

The minister revealed that there is a collaboration with the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) to ensure better integration of weather and water information, as it is critical for delivering reliable forecasts that can help support farmers and prevent disasters.
