Daughter Pleads with Government for Father Who Impregnated Her

‎A Junior Secondary School (JSS) student in the Oluyole Local Government Area in Ibadan, Oyo State, has been pleading with the state government not to impose any punishment on her father, Kayode Oluwaseunfunmi, for impregnating her.

‎The 14-year-old disclosed that her father has been taking care of her and her two siblings since they lost their mother ten years ago, until December 2024 when the abuse started.
‎
‎With the pregnancy already 7 months along, the JSS 3 student could not sit for the junior WASSCE as she explained her predicament, stating that despite everything that has happened, she still loves her father and does not want their family to be torn apart.

‎According to the pregnant teenager, she has already lost a lot, and the actions of her father have hurt her. She really wishes her father could be forgiven by the authorities and that possible options are considered that are best for their family so she and her siblings can be safe.
‎
‎Plans are currently being made by the Oyo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion to rehabilitate the girl and ensure justice is served, even as the father has been arrested pending investigation.
