The Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has released details of what Ahmed Farouk, the CEO of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), spent on his children’s fees overseas after accusing him of corruption during a media briefing in Lagos. This followed the crisis that has rocked the downstream sector regarding local and imported petroleum products.

On Monday, Dangote said Ahmed pays a mouth-watering sum for four of his children studying in Switzerland, covering a period of six years.

The billionaire further revealed on Tuesday that $5 million is what the NMDPRA CEO spent on the six years of secondary school education for his children overseas, describing the act as economic sabotage and corruption.

Dangote went further to release details of his allegations, listing the four children as Faisal Farouk, Farouk Jr., Ashraf Farouk, and Farhana Farouk. The secondary schools the children attended for a duration of six years were Montreux School, Aiglon College, Institut Le Rosey, and La Garenne International School.
