Congo Forms New Government Months After Tshisekedi’s Election

The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC, has named Guy Kabombo Muadiamvita as the new defence minister, a few days after an attempted coup attack in the nation.

The announcement was made on Wednesday five months after President Felix Tshisekedi’s re-election when Congo was facing so many crises from the east.

Recalled that a coup attempt was thwarted at the Palais de la Nation in Kinshasa as armed military men stormed the place that housed Tshisekedi’s office to attack some of the country’s Ministers.

This new government is coming after several delays and postponements by the Tshisekedi-led government.
