Confusion As Deposed Emir, Reinstated Emir Schedule Prayers At Palace Mosque

The Emirship tussle in Kano is yet to be over as residents seem confused about who would hold the Friday Ju’mat prayers at the Emir mosque palace.

Earlier a notice was sent by the Danburan of Kano on Thursday evening inviting residents to the palace that Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II would be the one to lead prayers at the mosque and deliver a sermon.

In another development, a circular by the aide of the deposed Emir, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero also invited residents to join him in observing the Friday prayers at the same palace mosque at 12:30 pm.

No comments have been received from security agencies regarding the information as residents fear the outcome might lead to another unrest.
