Concrete Road: Umahi Speaks On Cement Price Jumping To N9000

Minister of Works, Dave Umahi has said the only way his instructions on order given concerning the building of roads can not be carried out is if President Bola Tinubu or God cancels it.

Umahi said some critics are already using a false notion in insisting that the price of cement would go as high as  N9,000 if the government should start doing concrete roads.

He said the rumours were just peddled by cabals in the construction industry against his work as a Minister.

The former Ebonyi State Governor said this during a meeting with contractors from the six geo-political zones at the ministry’s headquarters on Tuesday, in Abuja.

“This is my line of instructions and I will do whatever the president instructs me to do. He is the only one and God that can cancel my instructions; so don’t waste your time reporting me to anyone apart from these two.

“No matter the amount of blackmail and lies, it will not prevail,” Umahi said.
