College Of Education Provost Blames Low Students’ Turn Out On Jamb Policies

The Provost College of Education Warri, Dr Dickson Oyovwi has attributed the decline in the registration of students into the National Certificate Program NCE in the College, to government policies and the introduction of JAMB examination as a prerequisite for admission.

Dr. Oyovwi spoke on Thursday during a press conference as part of activities to mark the school’s upcoming 20th convocation this weekend, saying despite the challenge, the institution has made great strides, including producing top notch educators in addition to running degrees and post graduate degree programs in partnership with major Universities across the country.

While acknowledging the support provided the college by the Delta state government the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, he averred that the professionalization to teaching will positively impact on the institution.
