Boat Capsized in DRC Kills 25 Footballers

A number of people have lost their lives in a boat mishap that occurred in the Kwa River in the southwestern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday.

According to the provincial spokesperson, Alexis Mputu, 25 people lost their lives, and the majority of them were football players returning from a match in Mushie city in Maï-Ndombe province.

The accident was attributed to poor visibility on Sunday night, as the vessel was overcrowded.

However, the administrator of Mushie territory stated that 30 people survived the accident.
