Bandits Rain Death on Niger State Villages

Dozens of people have been killed after bandits on 41 motorcycles swept through three villages in Niger State, killing, setting homes ablaze, and abducting many on Saturday.
In the early hours of the day, the bandits arrived in Tunga-Makeri and headed to nearby Konkoso and Pissa villages, killing six in the first village and 20 in the other two, according to police.
However, Musa Saidu, head of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) in Niger State, confirmed that 29 persons were killed and the death toll might rise.
Police authorities have confirmed that security teams have been deployed and rescue efforts are ongoing for the abducted victims.
