Bandits Kidnap Uni Students In Kogi, Govt Vow To Return All Kidnapped

Late Thursday night bandits invaded a higher institution of learning in Kogi State kidnapping nine students.

According to an eyewitness report, at about 9:00 pm on Thursday why students of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTEC), Osara in Okene, were studying for their fort-coming exams when a group of bandits laid siege on them.

Reassuring parents of the abducted students of their safe return, Governor Ahmed Ododo in a statement through his Commissioner of Information, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, said security agencies alongside hunters have been sent to combat the forest.

The Governor said the bad news was received this morning, that the bandits came in through the bush, and started shooting to scare students while they entered various lecture halls to sweep out students who were carried away.
