Over 10 persons including the community chairman have been whisked by the Nigerian Army after invading the Olota community in connection to the death of soldiers that occurred on March 14 at Okuama.

An eye witness recounted the ordeal yesterday morning, point of view, April 12, said over 200 armed men stormed the Olota community just 50km from Okuama and carried the chairman, Matthew Olokpa, Bigi Edjekpewhu, German Obiokute, Kenneth Okorodudu Atua, and others.

The military men entered the community with three gunboats, burnt the house of German and went away with all the boats found at the jetty.

On entering the community Matthew Olopka was beaten to a stupor with gunshots filling the air before he was taken alongside others.

The president General of the community, Prosper Evuarherhe, could not be reached, even as the people cry for federal and State Government intervention.

The attack on Olota is coming a day after the Senior Advocates of Nigeria and retired judges said the Defence Headquarters had no right to set up an enquiry community over the attack at Okuama but should be done by the federal government or the Delta State government.
