Anger and Bitterness Made Me Set My Family Ablaze, Abia Father

Post created on 9:28 am

‎Shockwaves, tears, and sadness have been sent down the spines of residents living in the Asa Umudim community in Osisioma LGA, Abia State, as a 40-year-old man set his house on fire over his wife’s infidelity, killing one of his daughters and leaving others struggling for their lives.

‎The suspect, who was saved from lynching by angry community residents, placed inflammable substances in his house before igniting the compound where his wife and three children were inside.

‎The man’s rage was allegedly due to extramarital affairs by his wife, who always took calls from people he suspects to be her male friends.

‎Following the incident, one of the daughters died in the inferno, while the wife and two other children are battling for survival in the hospital.

‎Confirming the sad incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Abia State Police Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka, said an investigation is ongoing.
