AFCON Games Will now Be Aired On SuperSport— DStv

Continental broadcast giants Multichoice has said the African Cup of Nations games which will begin this weekend in Cote d’Ivoire will be broadcast on DStv.

At first, Multichoice was at loggerheads with CAF after a disagreement over the broadcast right of the tournament which was sold to a Francophone media powerhouse ‘Next World.

The disagreement made the company announce that DStv will not air the tournament on their SuperSport channels.

The South African company however made a U-turn and will make a formal announcement on the new development before the end of the day according to journalist Osasu Obayiuwuna.

Before the turnaround of Multichoice, the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) had earlier announced an agreement with AfroSports to broadcast the games during the tournament.
