Abuja CP Orders Arrest of Woman Who Burnt Maid

Abuja Police Command has instructed the Divisional Police Officers across the FCT to locate and arrest a woman for abusing and assaulting her 14-year-old maid.

The order was given by the Commissioner of Police, Adewale Ajao, following a viral video showing how 14-year-old Bashariya was severely burnt all over her body.

According to the narration of Bashariya, who fled Zamfara State with her family to an IDP camp because of bandits, she was promised a good life in Abuja, but instead, her dreams of a good life were turned into starvation and physical abuse.

The video showed both old and new burn marks all over Bashariya’s body.

Confirming the incident, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that the CP has taken swift action upon seeing the video.
