Amidst Boycott Call, Singer Tyla Removes Lagos From Tour

Following the call by content creator Solomon Buchi and media personality Dotun to boycott the South African singer’s tour in Nigeria over the rising cases of xenophobic attacks and mistreatment of Nigerians in South Africa, criticism has arisen.

The critics argued that Grammy award winner Tyla had never spoken about the recent attacks, and her decision to come to Nigeria on her A POP World Tour should not be accepted.

The Lagos concert, which was scheduled for December 22, 2026, no longer appears on Tyla’s itinerary as of today, Friday.

Neither Tyla nor her team has responded to why Lagos was removed, but the tour performances will wrap up in Cape Town and Johannesburg in January.
