The reports making the rounds that one of the school children abducted by terrorists in Oriire LGA, Oyo State, has been killed in captivity have been debunked by the security agencies.

Speaking in a lengthy statement released on Friday, the State Command through the PPRO, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, said it was a malicious misinformation by mischievous beings who have no clarity on what was going on, only to create more tension and panic.

The spokesperson, therefore, urged citizens that efforts are still ongoing, as caution was given to bloggers, content creators, and social media influencers to discard sharing such unconfirmed information that only spreads panic to the family and society.
