A school in Kogi State, operating as an orphanage in a bushy location in Zariagi along Kabba Junction, was attacked by bandits on Sunday, April 26th, resulting in the kidnapping of 26 pupils and the proprietor’s wife.

Reports on Monday from the State Government, through the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, in Lokoja, indicate that 15 out of the pupils of Dahallukitab Group of Schools have been rescued, while operations are still ongoing to rescue the others and the proprietor’s wife.

However, concerns have been raised as the school and orphanage were not registered with the government and are operating in a bushy area.
