Post created on 4:10 pm

With the wide condemnation trailing Ozoro, the Isoko North LGA, after videos of young girls being assaulted by some irate youths, the kingdom assured that such incidents would never happen again.
This assurance came when the Commissioner of Police, Aina Adesola, made a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of Ozoro Kingdom, HRM Barr. Anthony Uvietobore Ogbogbo (JP), Ibuka I, in line with the ongoing investigation.
The Ovie thanked the students and residents for choosing dialogue instead of protest, assuring that proactive measures are being put in place to prevent such occurrences, as the right stakeholders were not informed before the festival took place.
However, the Ovie emphasized that there was nothing like a rape festival in Ozoro, but rather a fertility festival that was hijacked by hoodlums. He condemned the act, stating that no girl child should be treated in such a manner, and thanked the CP for his swift response, asserting that those involved should be prosecuted.
The CP furthermore briefed the Ovie on the progress of the ongoing investigation, as the Inspector General of Police wants anyone linked to the embarrassment prosecuted.
