President Tinubu Appoints Gen. Gwabin Musa As Defence Minister

A new Minister of Defence has been nominated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the resignation of Mohammed Badaru Abubakar on Tuesday.

General Christopher Gwabin Musa, a former Chief of Defence Staff from Sokoto State, will now stand as Nigeria’s Defence Minister upon clearance from the Senate.

In a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, President Tinubu expressed confidence in General Musa’s capacity to strengthen the country’s defence architecture.
