Following the havoc wreaked by terrorists on CAC in Eruku town in Ekiti LGA, Kwara State, and the kidnapping of the Kebbi schoolgirls, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu canceled his trip to South Africa and Angola.

The president has appointed his Vice, Kashim Shettima, to Kwara State to assess the situation, while the 20th G20 Summit of Leaders in Johannesburg, South Africa, and the subsequent 7th AU-EU Summit in Luanda, Angola, have been put on hold.

The cancellation was announced in a statement by President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday in Abuja as he awaits further security briefings on the kidnapped victims.
