No Link Of Autism To Paracetamol — WHO

The claims made by the United States President, Donald Trump, that there is a very thin line linking autism in children to paracetamol during pregnancy have been debunked by the World Health Organization.
A review published on Monday by health researchers concluded that Trump’s outrage could scare women away from their safest option to treat pain, thereby risking further stigmatization of autistic people.
It states that there is no clear link between pregnant women taking the common painkiller paracetamol, which is the main ingredient in popular painkillers such as Tylenol and Panadol.
In September, the US president sparked outrage among the medical community by claiming that paracetamol was associated with higher rates of autism, urging pregnant women not to take it.
