Okolie who disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Asaba the state capital said, he decided to resign from the Labour Party due to the disorganisation of the party which according to him was making the party not make any headway thereby leading them to being stagnant.

He proposed that his resignation from the Labour Party that brought him to power, to the APC which he is approaching, will help him attract a lot of progress and projects to his constituency adding that with the traditional rulers endorsing the APC President, Bola Tinubu, the State Governor moving to the APC, and PDP moving to APC, he feels it will be to the advantage of his constituency to join the train.
