After the seven-day ultimatum given by the Okuama community in Ughelli South LGA over the incarceration of some of its leaders and the death of the President General of the community, another sad event has befallen the land.
A few days ago, the death of Pa James Oghoroko was announced, and now another of its leaders, Dennis Okugbaye, who served as the community treasurer, has died in military detention.
Fear and tension have gripped the people, as just six days ago the PG died, and now the treasurer has passed away. The community demands the release of others, or President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian Army should be ready to wipe out all the residents in Okuama.
The death of the 81-year-old Okugbaye was announced by his son, Pastor Akpos Okugbaye, on Tuesday, with other leaders still languishing in detention.
