I Am Not Running, British Citizen Accused Of Dethroning President Tinubu

The British citizen Andrew Wynne, who was declared wanted by Nigeria Police, and another Nigerian national, Lucky Ehims, over a plot to overthrow President Tinubu’s government, have spoken up.

Nigeria police had earlier placed a 20 million naira bounty on the duo through a statement by ACP Muyuwa Adejo, the Force Public Relations Officer, but speaking on a Television interview on Monday, Wynne said he wasn’t running and had lived in Nigeria for over 25 years.

Wynne said he is ready for talks with the Nigerian police, and such an allegation was wrong as he could not destabilize a country he has been visiting for this long a period and even has a bookstore at the NLC building complex that he has been managing for over 7 years.

He revealed in the Channels TV interview that he was ready to meet officials of the Nigerian High Commission in London for a conversation on the allegations and also a scheduled meeting on Zoom or WhatsApp with Nigeria Police.
