The National Coordinator of Youth Rights Campaign, Micheal Lenin, an organizer of the Abuja #EndbadGovernance protest, has just been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, at his home in Apo, Abuja.
According to Damare Adenola, Director of the Take it Back Movement, the DSS stormed Lenin’s house around 2 am, today Monday, assaulted him in the presence of his family, and took him away.
Information gathered revealed that following President Bola Tinubu’s speech on Sunday in addressing the nationwide protest that aggrieved many, Lenin also voiced out his disappointment in a press conference later that afternoon that Tinubu was out of touch with the people, therefore called for full mobilization.
He urged people to come out en-masse on Monday for the protest as the propaganda and violence of the government have failed.
The DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, could not be reached on call, and even a message sent to him is yet to be responded to
