Corporal Arrested For Parading Self As Superintendent For Over 9 Years

A Nigerian Police officer, Buba Adamu has been arrested by the Cross Rivers Command for parading himself as superintendent of police and committing various crimes.

Adamu a corporal serving in Calabar was transferred to Kaduna State in 2015 but the officer refused to report at his new station, instead parading himself as a mobile police officer.

Since 2015 the officer has been using the uniform and rank of SP to carry out illegal activities in Cross Rivers without reporting to any specific police command.

Information from the Police Public Relations Officer of Cross Rivers, SP Irene Ugbo, revealed that Adamu was arrested following a tip-off from residents at Bacoco, Nassarawa area a settlement for Hausa/Fulani who complained about his criminal activities.

According to the command, Adamu has been collecting his monthly salary even without reporting to where he was transferred in 2015.

The investigation is ongoing and prosecution will be melted on the officer in accordance with the law.
