Police Arrest Portable Over N14m Debt

Singer Okikiola Habeeb widely known as Portable has been arrested over refusal to complete payment for a G-Wagon he bought from a car dealer.

The case was taken to the Lagos State Police Command by the car dealer whom the singer purchased a car for 27 million naira from but couldn’t meet the agreement.

Confirming his arrest the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin said an agreement was reached between Portable and the car dealer after the first instalment of N13 million was paid but the singer has refused to make the balance of N14 million.

Whenever the dealer contacted him, he kept postponing and complaining that the car was not in good condition, which prompted the dealer to report the case to the Lagos state police.
