Police arrest criminal gang in Delta

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a criminal gang notorious for operating in a Toyota Sienna space bus in the state.

The arrest was confirmed by SP Edafe Bright, who is the Police Public relations officer of the command.

Speaking on Sunday, SP Edafe said the gang rob and kidnap people around Warri and Ekpan areas of the state.

Weapons ranging from shotguns to axes were recovered by the police, together with the black Sienna and live ammunition.

He said, “We have arrested the syndicate that has been operating on a seinna vehicle in Ekpan and Warri, kidnapping and robbing unsuspecting persons who mistook them to be either policemen or vigilante. They have been identified by their victims, the guns attached were recovered from them.
