The Delta State Government has directed that all Motorcycle (Okada) and Tricycle (Keke) operators across Delta State must be registered in its ongoing documentation exercise which will end on the 31st January 2022.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the state Government, Mr Patrick Ubah on Tuesday.

The statement said all Tricycle and motorcycle operators who fail to be captured in the biometric registration exercise, which has been ongoing since May 2021, will be banned from plying the roads within Delta State come 31st January 2022.

The state government also said motorcycle and tricycle operators are to operate only between the hours of 6am – 9pm daily. It said exceptions would be made for registered tricycle and motorcycle operators, with a valid means of identification, on essential duties.
