Nigerians will live to remember the deadly Yelewata massacre carried out by Fulani herdsmen in Guma LGA, Benue State, that took more than 200 lives, especially children, women, and the elderly.

Aya Targul, father of a ten-month-old baby, Aondosoo Targule Aya, who was rushed to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital with a deep machete cut on his buttocks, has shown gratitude as his only surviving child has been discharged.

Following weeks of treatment, the little baby was discharged on Thursday, according to a statement on Friday by the Head of Public Relations and Protocol, Tsenzughul Moses.

Still beaming with hope, the father of the baby thanked the medical professionals for their efforts in saving Aondosoo despite losing his wife and three other children.
