Your Salaries Are Bigger Than Mine — Gov Oborevwori To Permanent Secretaries

At the inauguration of 12 four-bedroom terraced duplexes for Permanent Secretaries in Delta State on Thursday in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori Sherrif disclosed that the salaries of permanent secretaries are bigger than his.

During the presentation, 12 official vehicles were given to the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, who had earlier complained that Directors earned more than they did; hence, their salaries increased to N900,000, while the Governor earns N503,000 monthly.

Governor Oborevwori also disclosed that 302 beneficiaries had received support under the Public Officers’ Vehicle Loan Scheme, 119 people benefited from the Public Officers’ Housing Loan Scheme, and farm inputs were given to civil servants who want to venture into farming for an additional source of income and to improve food security.

Furthermore, 450 senior management staff received support to attend a seven-weekend training program through collaborations with the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria.
