Uvwie Council Boss Tames Ukuyoma

Following continued disregard for Delta state environmental laws, Hon. Ramson Onoyake Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area, today arrested one Richard Ukuyoma, a former councillor of the Uvwie legislative arm, for reportedly physically and verbally assaulting him and the council taskforce on environment and in the process damaging a mobile device.

The assault was said to have started after the council chairman accused Ukuyoma who had last weekend moved tonnes of waste from his compound, into PTI road Effurun, besides Ovie palace junction so as to erect a building.

Ukuyoma reportedly turned violent after the council boss ordered the sealing of the building construction site, claiming nobody has the power to stop his project, but the site was subsequently sealed and Ukuyoma arrested.
