Urhobo Royal fathers give their blessings to Chief Ede Dafinone, for Delta Central Senatorial District seat

Ahead of the 2023 election, traditional rulers from the 24 kingdoms in Urhobo land, have jointly offered their royal blessings to the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Okakuro Ede Dafinone for Delta  Central Senatorial District come 2023 general election.

Chief Dafinone who paid a consultation visit to the kings, at the palace of the Ohworode of Olomu kingdom, HRM Ogbon Ogoni Oghoro I, in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta, received the blessings of the Royal fathers in his quest to become the next Senator to represent the Urhobo nation in the red chamber.

Speaking on behalf of the 24 Urhobo Royal fathers, His Royal Majesty, Ukori the I, Ovie of Agbon Kingdom, tasked the All Progressives Congress senatorial candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District, Chief Ede Dafinone, to emulate his late father, Senator David Dafinone, if he emerges winner in the 2023 general elections.

The monarchs delivered the charged during a special session with  the senatorial candidate during his consultation with them .

The Ovie of Agbon Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Ukori I, described the visiting senatorial candidate as “one that has not deviated from the course of his father, late Senator David Dafinone”.

Dafinone disclosed that his vision for Urhobo nation is to enable his people create the environment and drive the process of creating an oasis of peace and long term prosperity and ensure that sound economic opportunities are brought to the district.

Asserting that his vision will also encourage the education system to ensure that our children will be empowered to make the best of their lives, and be able to seize the opportunities that will arise when business comes to the district. He encourage those who wish to use our resources and site their businesses here in delta central, to treat the land and resources with respect.
