Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems, has made her debut at the No. 1 spot on Billboard Hot 100 charts with her feature on Future’s “Wait For U”.

The track, which also features Drake, is Future’s second Hot 100 lead single, Drake’s 10th and Tems’ landmark No.1.

In the music video for Wait For You, released last week, Future experiences relationship issues in medieval times, and Drake rides a horse.

Wait For U is one of two Future and Drake collaborations on I Never Liked You—the second is I’m on One.

Although this is not the first time a Nigerian is making it to the top of Billboard charts. Wizkid in 2016 made it to the top of the billboard charts in Drake’s song One Dance though he did not start at the top unlike Tems who started at number one, Wizkid climbed to number one.
